Training program for the agents of local development
On April 16th DESA started with the training for the agents of local development. This training has been organized within the implementation of the project „The Centre for Responsible Tourism of the Adriatic Region“, which DESA has been implementing in co-operation with COSPE, Firenze. This project is financed by the Italian Ministry of foreign affairs. The lectures will take place at the premises of the University of Dubrovnik. 16 candidates applied for this training, mostly young graduated managers in tourism and economics. The lectures will be held untill May 1st and they are divided into thematic groups comprising:
- an understanding of the territory concept of Dubrovnik-neretva county, foreseen a field trip
- humane influence at environment, risks concerning tourism and environment
- the concept of local sustainable development
- EU funds and regulations governing their exploitation, (writing project proposals)
- sociological and economic influence of the tourism on territory development and tourist marketing
The lecturers are local experts, professors from University of Dubrovnik and Institute for tourism, Zagreb. After the lectures, the participants will write their own project, and the committee will choose the best 8 projects. The authors of these 8 projects will continue the second part of the training for the agents of local development that will take place in Italy, during the May. After stage in Italy the training program continues, i.e. the implemented training will be examined. After exam, the best 3 candidates will get an employment within the project „The Centre for Responsible tourism of the Adriatic Region“.
