"How to be a good neighbour", Dubrovnik, May 2000

Within
the Region, DESA
established good relationships with women's groups from
Budva, Montenegro and Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In
2000 DESA launched "HOW TO BE A GOOD NEIGHBOUR" program,
in cooperation with Bosnian and Montenegrian NGOs: "Mothers
from Srebrenica", "Society for threatened peoples", "The
Association of Montenegrian Women - Budva", "Women's Lobby
- Podgorica" and European House of Tivat. In addition to
this, DESA
hosted two workshops on conflict prevailing and peacebuilding,
attracting participation of representatives from Bosnia
and Montenegro NGOs. This conference was a seed for the
growth of DESA's
multicultural programs, hoped to be achieved in its
Regional Peace Center, as a part of our already existent
training and educational programs.
